Hey there! I have been looking into getting an SSD and want to know what people think about it. I don't mean about getting an SSD, 99% of people will say to get one. I mean, what is the best setup for using an SSD effectively at a fair price. (Note: The PC is going to mainly be used for gaming) I am willing to spend a fair bit as long as it is worthwhile. From my point of view I could either add a small SSD and use my 2TB HDD for games or get a larger SSD and use that for everything except for large storage which would be on my HDD. What do you think is more worthwhile for the price and if you could, please recommend an SSD in your response. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

EDIT: I forgot to mention this but on my current 2TB HDD setup, I am using almost 1TB of hard drive space

i would recommend the sandisk ultra ii or sandisk ssd plus, both are quite cheaper than other brnds such as samsung and from my experience are very good ssds for the price, in the uk a 500gb samsung 850 evo is £124. where as a 480gb sandisk ssd plus is £85-£90.

Minimum size for an SSD should be 250 gigabytes. I manage very well with a 500GB SSD for my primary programs and OS and maybe a few games. I also have a secondary harddrive for other programs and games. The Samsung 850 EVO is a really good SSD if you're interested in one.

I just edited my original post, since I use about 1 TB of storage, should I go for that option and put certain games on the SSD and others on the HDD?

I am very consciousnesses of installing programs to the correct drive and not having extra files, so in my case I haven't used more than half my drive, so 250GB would probably be fine. I don't know if you've seen this, but I might as well leave it here
