Hey everyone,

I recently downloaded the Helvetica font and everything changed to it. Not only in Chrome, but also in Edge. So it has to be in Windows. I found the font in my font folder but I cannot delete it because it says it is using it right now. What do I do?

Not sure what you installed from, a normal font install shouldn't change anything. I'd be more careful with future fonts, they come as packs with just the font that can be read, no .exe.

As you said its probably windows, just change your default font, theres a bunch of how-to guides

http://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Default-Font-on-Windows-7

or go to

Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Fonts\Font settings

You may also need to change them in the browsers.

                  / / /

                ,/ ]
              ,/ ]

You can do a system restore and restore your system back in time (personal files should be affected, but backup just in the case your HDD/SSD decides it would be a fantastic time to fail on you). Just search for System Restore on your start menu.

Font installation should not affect anything from the system. So I don't know what you did.. I can guess you named it to Segoe UI font and it got overwritten.

Actually if you've done anything since then don't restore it yet.

It is possible you overwrote the font as suggested, open up the segoe UI in the fonts folder it should look like the image if it doesn't then download the actual segoe and re-replace it. If however it does match and resetting the font settings failed then I would try a system restore.

You should also do a virus scan
