Hmmmm ok thankyou. I also notice when i pull my Intel stock heatsink it doesnt seem the past has spread out much, like the heatsink isnt getting close enough to the processor, any ideas there?

yes. dont use an intel stock cooler. the extreme cpus came with a different version like this for a reason:

IntelFCLGA4S_pspc2.jpg

also the qx6850 overclocks very well and push pin coolers do not spread paste well as they dont apply much pressure.

thats a bit warm. it shouldnt really be above 70c under load.

Anybody know what temps while idling and full load for QX6850? Mine idles at around 58 and under load it goes a little over 80. I've read all over the internet but it seems everyones temps are a lot lower than mine....

Ah, ok cool. Thank you, i bet thats the problem. It does make sense since this thing draws a lot of power. power=heat. I also assumed that was the reason for it not spreading. Defiantly will go do some research on cooling fans. Any recommendations??

Ya I read the manuel and it does. Not sure why amazon doesn't have 775 listed. Flash alarm. I'll update with temps and overlocks later tonight.

Got it all installed and did some stock speed benchmarks. Defiantly a difference. Temps and Fan speeds below. I also ran some temp tests before, about 60 idle and around 80 under full load.

Final OC 3.5ghz. Temps are good and i wanted to push to 3.6 or 3.7 but if i upped my voltage it wouldnt change in windows and if i added any more host clock windows would have a error and load the windows repair, so 3.5 it is. Stable ran for 1 hr with the highest core at 59, not in this screenshotfinaloc.PNG
