Computer for a Friend

Go to solution Solved by Shahnewaz,

Everything looks alright, but I'd suggest a couple of changes.

Get the i5-6500. The difference is marginal at best, but costs quite a bit less.

Change this to a 1x8GB kit. A bigger single stick is always more "future-proof".

And you said the GTX 960 was a typo. So that's fine. ;)

My friend asked me for advice on a new computer so I'm asking you guys on opinions about the parts I picked, I live in Portugal and I'm getting all the parts from this store https://www.pcdiga.com

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600

GPU: MSI GTX 960 (R9 390 is out of stock on my location and he doesn't care about the difference)

MoBo: Asus H110-PLUS

PSU: XFX TS 550W

RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V DDR4-2133MHz 2x4GB

Case: Nox Pax USB 3.0

Thanks in advance!

The R9 380 is faster than the GTX 960. The R9 390 competes with the GTX 970.

I wouldn't get any of those though, wait for the RX 480.

Everything looks good other than that.

Sorry, my error, I intended to say R9 380, I mistyped on the post, thank you!

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.
