Msi z170m CPU fan won't change speed

I have an msi z170m motherboard,  and the fan CPU fan speed won't go below maximum. I updated the bios and all that jazz. The system fans work properly. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?  Thank you!

Are you trying to change the fan speed in the bios?

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
