NAS USB?

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

Yes you can just plug a drive in and you have a little nas.It will be a bit slow since its using usb 2.0. Id personally buy the asus router, but there about the same.

So...I'm looking into buying a new router so I can get new features than my ISPs router just doesn't provide. I was wondering...a usual NAS drive connects through Ethernet to your router, can you do the same kind of thing by connecting an external SSD through a USB port?

Also, do I get this router:

Buffalo N600 Wireless Gigabit Dual Band Router https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HT1X046/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_VseCxbWCF589F

Or this router:

ASUS RT-N56U 300 Mbps 802.11n, Hardware NAT Dual Band Wireless N Router https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004TPWRSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RveCxbTHJZX8P

Thanks.
