Laptop problems

Welcome to the forums!

You can get some more RAM for the laptop, but that will only help a bit. Not much else can be done. I don't recommend changing the CPU in a laptop.

Hello,

I hope i posted in right place.

The problem is following i have laptop which is like 5-6 years old.I bought it for 650 Eur brand new.

Laptop details

Asus K52F

Intel core i3 350m @2.26Ghz

Just intel hd graphics

4Gb Ram

500Gb HDD

Windows 10

At first it had Windows 7 installed later on it had windows 8 then 8.1.Then i was like f** i will gonna try Linux Ubuntu, which was freezing like hell. Now came out Windows 10.Which I installed.

But it has some memory issues or I dont even know like its very very slow.I keep getting messages "Your computer is low on memory,Please close applications."Even tho i have only opened 2 Google Chrome Tabs.I know much about computer in general, but couldn't think about this thing anything.

Before it was running like a jet,now i changed Thermal paste.cleaned Fan etc.As i even used the static electricy band w/e it is called.

Now it runs much quiet and stable temprature. I change thermal paste every 1.5 years i would say.But computer is very very slow.Maybe the windows 10 requires much better pc.

But is there anyway to make this laptop run again better.I cant even play same games at same frames,All games now run 50% worse.

I even own Pc with i7 4790k gtx 770,but this laptop is just at other country which i use, when im there.Maybe i could install any other OS.But i had bad experience with Linux.

And i dont want to install other OS ,cause same thing can happen. And i dont have usb flash drive with me atm.

Sorry if i wrote like pokemon,as English is not my first language.I will try to explain as much as i can.

Alright i understand.I guess i just have to save up for new laptop.

Why?  A 8gb stick of DDR3 shouldn't cost you much more than 30 euros or so, and you'll probably want to stick a SSD in there.   Spending 100-150 euros for a SSD + RAM is a heck of a lot cheaper than a new laptop.
