So I am building whole new pc from scratch

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/PBnQVY

Could you guys give me some advice, this is my first build and i want pc that will last me 3-5 years

I plan to use my pc for light gaming, tons of browsing (40+tabs), watching lots of movies and tv shows, video and photo editing

Should i go with skylake or x99 platform

I heared that skylake is faster than haswell at browsing internet (considering i will do this most of the time), but haswell is better at video and photo editing cause of extra cores, so what do you guys say?

Some other questions, is my motherboard pick good also PSU, ram sticks (is 32gb overkill? i know that dominators are overpriced, but im more into looks, im considering trident z black/white too) and cpu cooler (is h100i v2 better than h100i, i would like to go with h100i because of looks, but if h100iv2 is much better ill go with it)

Do you guys have some other recommendations that would suit me better?
I am going with W/B build, so i want every component to be in black/white or grey

1. Dominator Platinums is RAM with a fancy heatsink that cost pretty much 70% more than similar RAM.

2. You don't need those extra fans and if you want extra fans get some BeQuiet! Pure Wings 2 or Shadow Wings 2.

3. I'd look at a Mionix Castor for the mouse, so much better and doesn't have mouse acceleration.

4. Look at the Beyerdynamic DT660, direct competition with the M50's at that price point and may be worthwhile to see what the differences are and if one is better than the other.

It really depends how often you're going to do your editing. Its not like skylake (I assume an overclocked 6700k) is insufficient for such a task, rather that X99 is just better at it. If you're doing these things regularily or for business level stuff, then you probably want X99. If you do it casually or occasionally at the hobby level then you could settle for Skylake and save yourself some money.

Skylake is technically better at tasks like internet browsing and gaming (since its individual cores are faster, and these tasks don't typically scale well with higher core counts), but its unlikely that you could even notice the difference in real world between the two in these situations. they are both going to kickass at these things.

IF you decide to go the skylake route, if you decide to not get dominators in favor of something cheaper, if you opt for a 16GB kit instead of 32Gb (most normal people wont use more than 16GB anyway), if you do all that, you might have enough to get a 1080 instead of a 1070 for the same overall cost of the system. Or, since you said you wanted to do only light gaming, the 1070 is more than enough for that and you could pocket the money =)

When it comes to your graphics card selection specifically, then its like @don_svetlio said, dont get the FE card. Its not "crap" but it IS more expensive and less effective than the other choices out there. For black and white builds, MSI makes a black and white 1070 "Armor OC" that would look good. EVGA also makes various 1070's with their ACX 3.0 cooler which is mostly black and silver. Both of these options should perform better than the FE card, and should have a cheaper/comparable price. I believe both of these options are also available in 1080 if you decide to go that route
