Evening,

My PC has been sending shocks on all the ports including USB, Aux and Mic jacks since it was built. I payed no attention to it as I though it was kidna normal. But today I got to know about earthing and how important it might be. I say 'might' because I am not sure yet. My monitor and the PC are connected to the same power strip mounted on a wall. My question is, is it bad for my PC if its shocking? And how do I know if my circuit is properly grounded? I am using 3-pin chords for both the devices.

I think this shock has taken down my screen as there is a vertical yellow line across the screen :(

Sounds like a good reason for a LAN party.  (do people still do those?)
But for real - testing it at a different house to see if it still 'shocks' you could eliminate house wiring.  I would also inspect all of the power supply cables to make sure you don't have one that is nicked and creating an electrical path out of the case - though I think if this had happened the computer would have just gone full nuclear meltdown the moment you pushed the power button the first time.

There's something cool here - you just can't see it.

I had that once with a PSU. And like any other reasonable power supply it just shuts off, because it would create a short with ground. (Over Current Protection)

If the case is already charged up to a point, where you can feel it, the 12V DC from the power supply aren't nearly enough to do so.

There must be a problem with your grounding i can't think of any other reason, how you would get a electro static discharge from your case.
