11 inch thin laptop suggestions?

Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

Lenovo Yoga or X1 Carbon?

A family member of mine wants to get a laptop that she can fit in her bag/purse or whatever. She's been looking at a 11in MacBook air but I can't really live with myself if I let her spend 1200$ on a computer with 4gb of ram and a OS that she isn't used to that probably doesn't support the software she currently uses, which means that since I have a MacBook Pro (got it basically for free from the school when I finished "collage") I'll have to help her with that for the rest of my life.
So, any suggestions of a small and thin laptop that's under 13in and max around 1300$.

Thanks.

Meow.

X1 Carbon is too expensive.
The Yoga seems good but it would be cool with a bit more performance.

Unless she's doing gaming or any serious work/heavy multitasking then a simple ULV i3 or i5 would be fine.

Just avoid the Core M CPUs - those are crap

Only the low-end one - the 13' 900$ one is a i7 ULV

13' is incredibly tiny - 11' is tablet territory - if you want a 10-11' device get a high end tablet

Yeah, the Yoga is a mix of the two and the 13' one is a great laptop and also dubs as a high-end tablet

check the dell outlet store for a 13" xps, smaller than a typical 13" and quite close in size to the 11" air.
