Did you test everything outside of the case before assembly? and what are your components?

i didn't test it outside of the case but what affect would that have on the computer anyways? I have a 6600k i5, 4 sticks of G skillm ripjaws DDR4 4gb per stick, windforce gtx 970 gigabyte, GA Z170X gigabyte motherboard, EVGA supernova 650 gold plus, cooler master nepton, Seagate 2tb hdd, deep cool tesseract.

Sometimes things can short inside the case, some components could be causing issues as well. Troubleshooting an entirely new build from inside a case can sometimes be a pain.

If this case is new to you id make sure the power on button isn't sticking as the easiest option.

then check all the connections at both the psu and on the terminating end (8pin CPU, 24pin, etc.) as that psu is modular if i remember correctly, and if that yields no results i would try pulling out 3 of those RAM sticks and the GPU and see if you can post.

I had this issue once before and only resolved it by removing my mobo and putting it back in, somewhere i had some kind of short or pinched wire, and all my components had worked outside of the system before that.

Hi so I built my pc and I have everything connected but when I turn it on it boots up for about 3 seconds and then shuts off again and then turns back on again etc. Can anyone help me?

Does it eventually post though? A lot of systems tend to do that when they're freshly assembled. The reason they do that, well I think it's to do with the board automatically changing its settings to work with the new configuration. Which is why when you save BIOS settings, the machine reboots.
