Hitchhiker bot 2.0?

So My friend and i have the idea to make another hitchhiker bot. We want to make it kinda cheap so if it gets killed we will not be in that much in a loss. We have in idea of what it will look like, but It would be nice to get some hep with some of the tech. like how will it be tracked or how will it charge. also any ideas would be nice.

I am his friend and we have the idea to use a raspberry pi 2. Would an arduino or pi zero work better for our purpose?
