Do you mean what is the game about? It's an action adventure game set in the medieval times and you fight creatures and you do quests, etc. etc.

Nope. I love fallout. is it similar (Ish) in how you can free roam etc etc

It's arguably the best RPG in the world atm. Great graphics, immense world and an interesting story, the two expansion packs add at least 30 hrs of playtime

Well, yes and no. Unlike Fallout/Skyrim, you don't have quite as much raw freedom in that you can't customize your character's appearance, can't just go around doing absolutely whatever you want. Still, it has depth in different areas, especially when it comes to quests. The sidequests are as interesting as the main quest a lot of the time, and the characters and the world are very well fleshed out.

 

Chances are you'll enjoy it, but you'll enjoy it far more if you spend a little time to get acquainted with the lore. My method was to watch a quick let's play of Witcher 1 (since that game is not a fun one to play through), then play Witcher 2, then read up on some synopses of the Witcher books. Then I played 3.

The concept is similar to skyrim, excpet on a much more mature, advanced, and complex level. Fantastic game.
