ASUS m5a97 SSD/HDD Issue

Hello,

 

Okay so I need some help. I am building a budget PC for a friend and at this stage I am baffled. The issue is that no matter what device I add the the motherboard it will not boot from it automatically. I receive the post screen with the prompt to go to the setup via F1. I can boot into the HDD, SDD or USB device manually but it will not do so without going into the setup. Could someone assist in trying to solve this issue.
