Broadwell-E Motherboard Compatibility Help!!!

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy i7-6800K and the motherboard that support the old x99 Haswell-E. I know that I need to flash the BIOS to that old motherboard to it support Broadwell-E CPU. Problem is I don't have the old x99 CPU will I be able to go to with the new CPU installed?
