What's your budget? And what are the most demanding games you'll be playing?

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Budget is ~$1300 UDS, the games I plan on playing is Witcher 3, Fallout 4, No Mans Sky, Team Fortress 2 , CS:GO, plus a couple others

I'd saying you'd be looking at either a 1070 or a 480. Unfortunately the 480 isn't out yet so performance of that is still unconfirmed however I'm assuming you can probably wait until then to decide.

A 1070 would put you overbudget, and a 480 would be under budget. Of course, there are rumored to be heavily overclocked 480s around 300 dollars ish. A 480 would probably be better for you, unless you are willing to pay the extra for the 1070 (though a decent non-blower cooler 1070 will probably cost >400).

It's up to you if you are willing to get a 1070. A 480 will definitely crush tf2 and Csgo though probably won't hit 144 fps and/or will need to lower settings. Same with a 1070, though you will get higher fps and/or  you will be able to the run your games at higher qualities. For now though, you should probably wait for 480 reviews and then make your choice but you definitely should go for a 480 or 1070.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I really appreciate the quick response.
