Overall Temps

Alexjbonilla

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but since I found myself coming here regularly I decided to make an account. :)  Anyways, I feel like my current build isn't running as cool as it should be. The link to my parts are all down below, except for my fans. So I have a noctua nf f12 on my be quiet heat sink since it's a better fan, I have a noctua nf s12a as an intake and a thermal take riing 12 intake as well. I moved the be quiet fan on the bottom of the case since my HDD and SSD were getting kinda hot (30-40) and an Arctic fan as an exhaust.

My CPU temps idle at about 45-55 C

CPU under load is about 70-80 C

GPU idle is about 29-35 C

GPU Under load is about 60-70 C

Thanks for the input and here is an image as well

and the cpu cooler is kinda blocking the exhaust fan, maybe switch the noctua fan to the other side of the cooler

But there is usually hot air behind the GPU wouldn't that be bad placement for the fan ? Also how would I reseat the cooler ? I have tried to clean it and put different paste on it

^^ This

And while ur add it, if your RAM and case allow it, turn the cooler so that the fan in the back pulls air trough the cooler aiding the fan in front.

The cooler won't turn the mount only fits that way

You may have put too much paste on it

I'm guess this is because off the RAM sticks?

As long as you tighten it up enough it should really matter, right?

You can see the fans 'struds' So I think its top to bottom

that's what i thought too.

If it is the case, flip the fan around

The hot air might be caught between the cooler and the gpu

What if I put the exhaust on top of my case pointing up right above the CPU cooler ?

That would make it so that the 2 fans are 'fighting' for the air

Okay, I'm gonna try to flip the noctua on the heatsink and see how that goes, do you guys think the fan on the bottom of the case is worth it ?

I would say no, what you could do is getting tho other noctua fan put in in push pull on the rad then get the fan in the bottom put that in front. after that see what the temps are they would probably improve
