Also how would I check if its PCIe x 16 2.0 or 3.0?

Doesn't matter, 3.0 GPUs are compatible with 2.0.

Though, something no one mentioned is the Inspiron 660 is a mini tower, make sure the GPU will fit and DONT get a 750Ti.

You can get an R9 380 mini and a new PSU for $250 USD

RX 480 would be mucho better

My brother currently has a Dell Inspirion 660 i5-3330. He has no graphics card but he has saved up money for one. He doesn't know what to get and so do I. His motherboard is a Dell 0XR1GT. He wants the best gpu that is compatible with his computer. Thanks!

Unless he has a 6 pin or 8 pin power connector, a max of a SPECIFIED 75w GTX 950.

Oh and if it has a PCIe slot.

Depends on your PSU aswell

Tell him to get a nvidia card, not AMD.

Yes and No..... If AMD had 75w card that competed with the 950, then yes.

I'd see what the RX 460 looks like and then decide.

Ignore the moron telling you to buy Nvidia just because it's Nvidia. Tell your brother to get an rx 460 when it launches at the end if the month.

So for $250 (USD ?)

Get a 400-500w PSU. XFX, EVGA B2 or SeaSonic are all nice and get an RX 480.

He wont regret waiting 13 days.
