So i currently have the turtle beach x11 which ive had for over two years now and its time for a replacement, i recently brought an asus xonar 5.1 sound card as my friends in ts3 complained about and echo and a buzzing noise, the sound card did not fix the problem so i figure the only thing left to do was replace my headset

only requirements are that it has some form of voice playback like the turtle beaches do as im so used to hearing my own voice if i didnt have it id be shouting at people down the mic

id also like it to be some form of surround sound as i feel if im going to upgrade i might as well have surround sound

looking to spend about £75 max but less is better. (i can spend more if needed but im tight lol)

so, what do i buy???

thanks for any help

Any headset has playback, you just need to set the microphone to listen in recording devices.

Unless you want something fancy, I would suggest plantronic gamecom 380 or steelseries siberia v2.

Perfectly good headsets with clear microphones and also comfortable.

I also had the turtle beach x11 before I got my plantronic's, needed to replace them because the wire was starting to disintegrate after years of use and kinking.

If you like the feel of the turtle beach ear pads (I love them, so comfy), you can put them on the plantronic headset if you don't like the fabric it uses.

I put my turtle beachs pad on and they fit (they arn't the same shape ofc but they fit once you put alittle bit of strength into getting them on  :P) and its so comfy!

if you want to upgrade then you could go into a vmoda lp1 as a headphone
