Projector Acrylic

Ok so here is the plan.

Coming up fairly soon I am going to make a variation of a touchtable (http://www.instructables.com/id/Creating-your-First-Multi-touch-Table/)

I am using a projector that I already have and am modifying a table.

Since the projector is the thing I actually have the question about I figured I would post here:

My question is what type of acrylic (sub $100 USD) would be best for capturing the projection and displaying it in the table?

I could use a diffuser and clear acrylic but Im afraid that it might not work effectively.

The table is not meant right now to be touchscreen but I will be upgrading it when I get married soon and move into a house.

The reason:

So why am I doing this?

My friends and I have been playing pathfinder for many years and have been using a physical map. With the addition of a new player who uses Roll 20 to connect in it is a pain dealing with two versions of the map.

I want to use the projector to cast the same map the other player is using so that we can have an easier time playing and it will be a fun project!
