Need Help With Range Extender.

AlanAlan

So I have a edimax ew-7288APC Range extender, I want to make my downstairs of my house have stronger wifi. There is no way I can wire a Ethernet cable from upstairs to downstairs. Is there a way that I can extend my wifi connection without the Ethernet cable connected?

I am pretty sure it has a wifi bridge mode, as most of the extenders do. There should be a switch or a toggle on the base for a bridge, turn that on, then connect to the device with a phone or a laptop.

There is no way I can run the ethernet cabe from my router to my extender downstairs.

Check it out.

So in wifi bridge mode no ethernet cable will needed to be connected to the router in order for the range extender to work right?
