Windows 10 Nvidia Drivers

I upgraded to windows 10 when it first came out and stuck with it despite the constant game crashes due to the drivers for Nvidia GPUs. I then had to eventually do a clean OS installation back to windows 7. I'm now wondering what the situation is with Nvidia GPUs, are things still just as bad? I want to upgrade to 10 but I can't handle constant crashes.

Any input is much appreciated!

Oh... my 980 would crash mid game ("display driver stopped working and recovered"). There were a lot of people getting it on windows 10. This was when it first came out though.

Most recent Nvidia drivers are beyond broken. Try 361.75 - last stable driver

My thoughts exactly. Okay I'll try that, thanks. Over a year now and we're still at this point, disgraceful.

I was being sarcastic - have been using AMD and Nvdia, a LOT more issues with Nvidia hardware

Oh... right haha. I must say I've never went near AMD for anything. But I heard there were a few issues but I didn't look into them. Nvidia has definetely made me lose faith in them though.

AMD "issues" you see people mention are horror stories from 2008. Those have long since been solved but the fanboys continue beating the driver drum cause they have no other argument. Thing is, recent Nvidia drivers have been so bad that nobody even makes that argument anymore as it's not possible

Ah okay, yeah they just kept getting worse each time a new one was released! Guess everyone will just have to stay on windows 7 then, or go red team!

Or do like most sensible users and use old drivers. Btw, not sure if you saw that but Fermi owners tripled their performance in newer games by going to old drivers.

Yeah that would be the better option, although I actually found that none of them (that I used) worked particularly well with everything. Just have to make use of what we have really. TRIPLED! wow...

I upgraded to Windows 10 around 6-8 months ago and had many problems, not just drivers.

However I done a fresh install of 10 and since then I have not had a single problem. *Touch Wood*

It's not a race to the bottom.
