Hi everyone,

I just installed Windows 10 on a SSD that I had before which had windows 7. I formatted it completely then installed Windows 10. Now after the updates and everything, CPU usage is 100% and it does not go down for one second.

I checked and it seems that the cause is the "System interrupts" process. According to what I found online, it maybe a cause with some drivers. Now my GPU drivers installed on their own successfully. The stuff that I did not install are drivers for my MB which is P8P67 Pro. When I go to download its drivers, I can only find drivers for up to Windows 8.1

Do I need to install MB drivers, chipset, Audio (realtek)?? Built in bluetooth is working fine so I see no reason for the not installed drivers to be the reason of the issue.

Also, I want to move the OS from the SSD to another drive. Because I only have 35GB remaining on the SSD from the total 60 GB. What is the best way to do it? I can reinstall Windows 10 again on the other drive but this is redundant if there is a faster way to do it.

What happens if you restart your computer?

Why did you install on the drive you knew it's going to be too small? Why didn't you use the drive you want to move to in the first place? Since it's fresh install, you would probably be better off just installing again on the other drive, instead of fiddling around with drive cloning software.

It is because when I tried to install it on the intended HD, it showed that it was not possible to install it because its configured to be MBR. And to solve this, I would've had to remove all partitions and recreate them. Which would delete my data.

Ok I will be probably reinstall it again but for the time being, CPU usage is so high.

Check this image. The processes responsible for the usage shuffle but they are mainly the interrupt or the service host service.

Lol please don't do this again, use screenshot next time.

You are correct that drivers might be causing this, although this information doesn't help much, because it's still too broad to find the cause. First of all, try unplugging and disabling every device possible to still keep your computer running. This might include any gpus, external drives etc.

You might've already found this, but I'll post it anyway: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/fix-high-cpu-usage-caused-system-interrupts/

Try what this post is recommending and see if it helps.
