Hey guys!

I am hoping to build a PC for gaming (games like Battlefield 1, GTA V, Witcher III, Need for Speed, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and the like) and light to moderate video editing (using Adobe After Effects) and maybe some 3D modelling in the future. I already have a 24" 1080p HP monitor with a 60hz refresh rate. I don't plan on upgrading my monitor anytime soon, so most likely I will be gaming at 1080p only. I live in Saudi Arabia and the parts I picked translates to around USD1700.

Here is the parts list:

(I already purchased the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming MoBo)

My question is, will the i5 be enough for the titles I mentioned or should I get an i7? The price difference here is SAR375 (about USD100) so will the price be worth it? Also, I am not really familiar with CPU coolers so if you have any recommendations it will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to share any alternative parts or suggestions if you have. Thanks! :)

i5 should be enough, but if you like to have some more headroom and be able to do more than just gaming, i7 wouldn't be a bad option here.

Also, maybe another PSU? It's fine, but I think there are better options. 250gb ssd is enough? Will probably be filled with just windows and a couple games, but that will be pretty much it.

Sorry i forgot to mention I am looking at the 1TB WD Black HDD for my storage, the 250GB SSD will be for my OS and most played games.

What are the specs I need to check if I am looking at PSU's? Thanks.

I'd chip in a little more just for a i7 - It' shouldn't be that much more expensive, unless there's a good reason you're getting a i5. Either way, If you don't want to splurge on the i7, What @Guuhan said should work just fine. If you change your mind down the line - you can always upgrade.

If it could be in OP's budget maybe they could get an EVGA SuperNova G2 550W.

No point getting a black, just shelling out more money for nothing really, get a Red if you want a fast HDD
