Hi Guys,

I want to buy a Geforce GTX 780 and i am wondering what non-reference GTX 780 should i go for? I have been looking at ASUS GTX 780 DirectCU II OC and Gainward GeForce GTX 780 Phantom "GLH". So i want to know what you think, should i go for one of these or a complete other non-reference card

in all honesty id go with evga the customer service is awesome, their step-up program (upgrade) is nice (used it a while back). their cards look good and overclock well, they also have a water cooled version if you are going that route (hydro copper, block is already installed).

The msi lighting, if your not overclocking to the extreme then you might as well get whichever looks the best with the balance of a decent price, you might wanna be weary about asus as they have quite bad customer services if your graphics card gets broken for whatever reason.

I think the GTX 780 Direct CU II is the best cooler, I don't have one, but I have the 680 version. It is practically all custom, overclocks well, runs cool, runs quiet, and looks great!

I can't agree more. All of the non reference cards work more or less the same. With that said, they are MUCH cooler than the reference 780. I have dual DCU2's because it has a fully custom PCB, so maybe, just maybe it might preform better than the other 780s. It also has a backplate (which I'm a sucker for). The only gripe with it, is that it is much bigger than 780s, so every now and then you might have trouble fitting it in (thank the tech gods for the 900D). What's your rig like? I'll find the best card that compliments the aesthetics.

Go with whatever fits into your PC best. If you have a black and red rig go for a black and red card or else. They are all pretty much the same, especially if you overclock them.

I'd go with the Gigabyte GTX780 GV-N780OC-3GD REV2.0 because it's currently the cheapest non-reference 780 and comes with nice stock clocks and a great cooler.
