Stripped Screw mounting SSD

Hey all. 

I recently moved my SSD and HDDs to different slots on the rack for better cable management. BUT, in screwing in one of the screws for my SSD, i COMPLETELY stripped the screw. And its very stripped, not even the rubber band trick works. Forcing it made it worse.

 

I don't know if cutting a notch in it will work since the screw is so small and stripped so easily. Has anyone tried a "stripped screw bit" on a screw that small? Would that work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Such pain-in-ass, much help.

Your best bet would be a small left hand drill bit or if you can grab the screw head using pliers to carefully loosen to back it out.

I stripped a screw on my video card.  I had to use a drill press to drill a tiny hole and use a "reverse tap" to get it out.  This screw head was maybe 2.8 mm in diameter.
