Weird problem with ports

before we get into anything SPecs are 4790k@4ghz, asrock pro 4, 12gb ram, GPU r7 260x.

 

my monitor is old so i use the dvi dual link to vga thingy but it stopped working so anyone would assume the  card is dead but connecting my gpu to my tv(samsung smart tv) it works like nothing happen so i did an experiment im using my tv as the main monitor and the monitor im having troubles with as a secondary the Windows detects my monitor (acer x193w) and the type model perfectly the weirdest thing is it works with my integrated graphics. i thought my dvi just died but the fact that when i try to use it while im using my tv and windows is detecting the monitor i don't know why the monitor wont display anything from the gpu
