Which route to take?

ok so I am building my first pc and am wondering if I should keep my  as rock z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 and go with an i5 4690K or should I get an i5 6600K and get a LGA1151 motherboard to match the 6600K, I can get a near full refund for the AS Rock Z97 if I go with getting the 6600K so thats not a problem but finding a motherboard with LGA1151 and it being compatible with the rest of my parts right here http://pcpartpicker.com/list/mNc4D8 and being from $100-$150. This is what I need help on. Thanks in advance!

I would honestly keep the current motherboard you have. It's decent, and the 4690k is still pretty good. If you decide to go to 6600k, the Asus z170 pro gamer I found works well.

To upgrade to Z170, you will need:

 

LGA 1151 CPU

Z170 Motherboard

DDR4 Memory

 

If you are unable to get all these parts, you're best sticking with the 4590k, which isnt that bad of a CPU.

If you're going to keep the current board and RAM, go with an i7-4790k.

There is also no reason to go with such a highend power suppy. You could easily chop $40-$50 off that by getting a nice 550W or so unit.

well if I want to get a second or third GPU in the future I'm covered though
