PC restarted randomly

Ok so the title says it all, I was watching Star Trek TNG on Netflix when my computer suddenly rebooted. This coincidentally happened at the same time that my wifi router lost connection with the Internet. Any ideas? My power supply has shows no indicators of instability before although I do run it quite hard. (For example today my PC was on from 9AM-5PM before it restarted today.) All other electronic devices in my apartment remained functioning. My monitors lost power but turned back on instantly so I'm really confused.

Power surge, probably just enough for the electronics to notice but not enough for things like lightbulbs and such to notice.
