Post issues

[The_pro_elit]

My pc was working fine, but then I felt like redoing my cable management but upon trying to boot the system it gave no display. Fans are spinning, all leds lights up, HHD is running and CPU gets hot after a while so it would seem it has power. I also don't have any mobo speaker nor do I have integrated GPU, a problem when troubleshooting .

 

What I have tried so far:

I have check my wiring and disconnected and connected almost every singe cable.

Tried a different GPU

Rested my bios

Tried my ram sticks inside a different pc and all 8 GB registered

Boted up with no front io and anything that is not needed to get a picture

and probably alot more that I cant remeber, all with no success

 

Specs

Psu: Corsair CX600M

Cpu: Fx 8320

Mobo: Gigabyte 970a-DS3P

GPU: Gigabyte 970 G1 gaming

Storage: WD 500 Blue

              Crucial m500 240GB

Case: Areocool Xpredator x3

 

Any help would be amazing. (Please don't be to harsh on grammar)

Try a different PCI slot for your card.

Make sure your Hard Drive/SSD is plugged in both power and Sata cable.

They have power (the HHD is spining) and both are connected to the mobo

do you have another PC on the same network? You could look if it shows up under "network" in file explorer.

 

You could also test your GPU in a friend's PC?

If your not getting a post and have tried multiple GPU's and have verified the CPU pin is seated correctly as well as the 24pin, then it sounds like your board is dead.

I do not get into windows (sorry if I diden't make that clear) and I can't test my GPU but I have tested and anther GPU in mine and it diden't work.

I just thought it might look like you're not getting into Windows but that you actually were (had a GPU that died on me and it would let Windows boot but would crash the drivers), that's why I asked if the PC showed up on the network.

 

If you tried another GPU then yeah, you might have a dead motherboard.

Sorry man, it sucks  Other thing you can try if you have another is a CPU, see if that maybe bad as well, but its more likely the board than CPU.

But on a positive note, the Board is rather cheap at $65 on Newegg so not to big of a hit to replace.

I guess, it is just annoying that it happed now when I go on summer holiday

I agree. Atleast your board is still in production. My P67 board died so I have a 2500k sitting here collecting dust now
