Gtx 1070 availability timeframe?

Hi guys. I've ordered the parts for my first ever pc build :), but I held off until the gtx 1070 came out. That being said, when can we expect 3rd party gtx 1070s from board partners like EVGA, Asus, and MSI to come out at proper prices and in stock? Is it in 2-3 weeks? More/less? Months? Please give me a rough estimate of when you think the prices will become normal and when they will be available. Until then I'm going to have to stick to my intel hd 530 graphics.

No one can say about stocks. It will be about 1-2 months until they fill in the offers and the hype clears up.. but can't you order even if it's out of stock and wait a bit longer?

 

About "priced normally", I doubt you will see that before winter, unless amd releases something very compatible at much lower price. I've ordered mine yesterday and it was 500€ (converts to $560 - yeah prices in EU are even more fucked up) and I think the value is better compared to how much a 980ti or titan x would cost, considering that 1070 has the same performance in games. I was waiting for it since early april and just couldn't wait any longer. But according to your profile name, waiting a bit longer is not a problem, so it wouldn't hurt to see what happens to prices after amd releases 480 and possibly announces the 490.

Well in US, all GTX 1070 were sold in less than 1 hour. And that was with website problems.

Another stock will be sold just as fast if you ask me.

 

It will be easy to order them in like 1-2 months, but price will be still the same. Unless AMD release GPU that will perform the same or even better than GTX 1070, at 300€ price. But I wiuldn't count on that.

If you acctually wanna buy that GPU at 100€ lower price, you will need to wait till next year probbably.
