When making a disc with bios, do i just put the bios on one disc or does it need to be on a disc with ms-dos?

do i format a dos disc and then put the bios on it, or do i just have a disc with bios on it?

i have two with problems. one asks for the bios, like "no bios disk found" or something like that.

it calls for a floppy disk and i haven't made the disk as of yet.

i reset the cmos, when i found out later that all was really wrong was i wasn't plugging in the cpu power (ha, ha), but i had already reset the cmos.

i think it doesn't always call for bios when the cmos is reset though.

the other, just goes to the boot screen ("loading bios" and i think something wrong with the bios)and not go to the bios screen, and i think i have to reset the cmos and i'm afraid of haveing to boot the bios etc.

If this is a fresh pc build, the cmos stores the bios settings and such and does not need to be messed with, even though you cleared it, it should be fine. You SHOULD NOT mess around with your bios UNLESS you know what you are doing and only if you are confident. If it was an attempt at troubleshooting another error, reply with the original error?
