Are the SONY PRO MDR7506's a good buy?

refinedskillz

I want some good headphones for producing music that are under £100. So I want to know if these are a good buy.

I got a pair and do like them, but it does depend a bit on how they're used. Is there a sound you're after, or other practical features? The earcups are a bit smaller than I like but relatively speaking they're lightweight and can be folded into itself for storage. I later got a pair of AKG K550 mk2 (also under £100 on ebay). They are more comfortable and better for music listening to me. Although they twist flat it is by no means small if you need to pack them away. I'd take the Sonys if I'm out and about, but the AKGs are what I go for at home.
