So I've been trying to fix an issue with my drivers for a couple weeks now. (The issue has been present for almost 18 months but that isn't relevant.) I've posted here a couple times with simple questions and didn't really get the answers I was looking for.

My new question is this:

I have uninstalled everything I can find that has to do with Nvidia. I have uninstalled all major Nvidia folders and used regedit to get some that can't be found normally. I have access to hidden files and have checked through those as well. After doing that DDU (display driver uninstaller), recognized that there was one other Nvidia thing that I missed, deleted it, and rebooted. Now I am left with what I believe to be nothing from Nvidia. My graphics car (680) is not currently in the computer and I'm running on integrated Intel graphics. The problem is that once I put the card in and start back up, Windows will automatically download some random driver from 2 years ago and then all my work is immediately thrown away. Is there any way to prevent that from happening? Because the last time that happened I went ahead with trying to install the most recent driver version and it failed (again.) I'm not even sure if this will help but I think it's worth trying if I can figure it out. Thanks

Just disconnect or disable your network connection lol. So easy xD

Disconnect, shut down, put the card back, boot up, install drivers, re-connect to the internet.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

Only yours, you don't shitpost on the same level that we can, mainly because this thread is finally dead and should be locked.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.
