First of all, here are my PC specs: AMD FX 8320 | 8GB DDR3 RAM | 240GB SSD, 1TB 7200 RPM WD BLUE HD | Gigabyte G1 Gamin' 970 SOC

My internet, according to speedtest.net is: 54ms ping | 85.96 Mbps D/L | 11.22 Mbps U/L

My Xsplit Gamecaster settings are: 720p HD, x264, 30FPS

Now on to the problem. I've just started streaming to Twitch with Xsplit Gamecaster and bought a Logitech C525 webcam today. The webcam is fine when I'm streaming with 0 viewers but when 1 viewer arrives, the webcam starts stuttering and even freezes for an indefinite amount of time. The webcam quality is the lowest I could set through the Logitech software and is the smallest size Xsplit allows. Is there any reason why the webcam acts like this? I've tried making the room brighter but that doesn't help.

Here's a video to show you what I'm talking about. https://www.twitch.tv/thecatpetter/v/71368989

Start watching from 44:15 onward. You'll see that the webcam is smooth and then suddenly stutters and freezes.

Any ideas?

I maaay have fixed the problem. I tried plugging in the webcam to another USB port and it seems to work fine now. The other port I used was from an old USB hub which crashed my Blue Yeti mic all the time. I'll confirm if it's fixed tomorrow.

Sorry for the triple...but I spoke too soon lol. The problem is still there. It just happens less often but often enough to be annoying. What could it be? I've tried lowering the setting down but that didn't help one bit. My webcam acts up sometimes when people join the stream or there is a lot going on in game. If there nothing then my webcam is perfect...

The webcam itself is fine because I've been recording for 20+ minutes straight with no issue.

Sorry guys I'm pretty sure I finally got it! I switched from usb3 to usb 2...
