980TI Windforce requires two power cables?

azorahai

Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. My Gigabyte 980ti windforce cards don't power on with the combo cables. I have to use 2 separate 6plus2 cables for each card. Is this normal?

I believe this depends on your PSU. I could use combo cables with my 980TIs but I prefer the look of single cable so I went that route.
