I want to choose between asus x99 - a/usb 3.1 and MSI X99A SLI Krait Edition. I wanted to go with asus, but I heard about some problems with their MBs, so I started to look for a different motherboard. I really like the look of MSI X99A SLI Krait Edition and specs are almost same but I red on motherboards.specout.com that it supports only tri channel memory, but on msi site is written that it supports quad channel memory, so I dont understand that and what is a better choice ?

tri channel hasn't been used since the inital i7's (920) and their xeon counters.. it's a mis-print.. go by manufacturers site.

All devices can and do fail.

If you like Asus, go with them.. they have brill bioses.. unless there is a specific flaw with a certain product you are aware of.

Also, now motherboards are currently being released with refreshed features for the 6800 and such.. Might be worth looking at some computex coverage and see if there is something new you like / in budget.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

AFAIK every x99 mobo supports quad channel

I don't think one of them is a bad choice. Just go with the board you like the features better

X99 Deluxe.

Both are good boards to be sure but the Asus has some better features.  I believe there were some issues with the fist run of them but that was all.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

I am planning to go with 6800k cpu, so should I wait for something new to come, or will these MBs work as well ?
