To do list when upgrading hardware?

Go to solution Solved by Alice in game,

1. You have to do it (well, at least if you want to keep your files!)

2. Download the iso file and make a bootable drive (dvd/usb)

3. Not sure, but you can try to keep the same key for the new system.

4. As a matter of fact, you do not need to

5. When you have your W10 boot drive, it will ask where you want to install so you can rework your partitions and install directly on the boot drive. It will format before installing.

6. In theory, yes. When I booted W10, all the drivers got downloaded by themselves so I did nothing.

7. of course, no choice.

Hello, community.

I'm upgrading my hardware (mobo, cpu and ram) so I need to format my OS to start a fresh install. Is there a faster or more modern way to do this? I'll be doing the following:
1. Backup all files.
2. Create W10 iso file
3. Revolke licence
4. Format C:\
5. Reinstall windows
6. Install new drivers
7. Install programs, redirect direcotries etc...
8. Enjoy (?)

This is a very long and tedious process and I wonder if there is a faster way to do this :P haven't done this since gods know when.

3. If I don't do this I can't validate widnows because it'll be still in use.
4. Well, I know. This step is with the following one, just pointing out the obvious. Some poeple would say like oh no, you need to format first in order to install the OS. :P
6. Didn't know w10 installs them for you :o

Thank you :)
