  1. What do you want the upgrade for.
  2. The complete spec of your current PC.
  3. How much are you willing to spend.

That depends.  Are you willing to change the motherboard or not?  That will of course influence what CPU you can get ;)

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

That's not what I meant. I want to know what do you intend to use this PC for: as in, Gaming / HTPC / Video editing, etc.

There are a lot of questions I should ask, but I am going to give you some answers first. 

 

CPU AMD A10-7890K 4.1GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU + MOBO i3-6100 + MSI B150 Gaming M3

CPU + MOBO + PSUi3-6100 + MSI B150 Gaming M3 + EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze cerified

 

Now, if you just want to upgrade your CPU, go for the 7890k

If you are ok with upgrading your MOBO, go for the newer Skylake stuff. New RAM is also required because Skylake is DDR4.

If your PSU isn't up to par for the horsepower behind the newer toys, get the EVGA stuff

 

I probably missed something vital but hey, i'm from the internet.

I didn't realize it at first, but his "PC" is actually a notebook. This wasn't stated in the OP... a bit of a troll, but whatever.
