Thread use in visual studio

Hello people,

 

I'm planning to build a high end business computer for my dad, but before that I would like to know how much cores VS2016 can use, so I can decide on X99 or Z170. I would like to hear your thoughts!

Visual Studio 2008 and up uses (by default) the number of CPU cores (including the HyperThreading ones) available.

You can define the value of cores you want it to use, simply by going to: Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > Build and Run.
