Arma 3 build

I'm building a pc that can run Arma 3 at max settings. My budget is 1300 to 1500. I have a case just need the main components.

And I don't want an aftermarket air cooler. The cpu in my list is perfect. My cpu and a motherboard that is better then I picked out would be nice.

Indeed. It's extremely recent.
You should get far above 80 fps at most points in the game.

I don't know though. It's my first pc and I don't want to mess up on the thermal paist and I don't know if the aftermarket cooler will hit the ram cards cause the ram cards are to tall. So do I go with your build or mine.

That's your decision, friend.
Though, the heatsink should be just fine paired with the LPX RAM.

 

Thermal paste isn't too difficult.

that ain't happening, look at the rig in my sig...that system is really fast everything is highly overclocked and it can't even sustain a constant 50FPS even at 1080p in that nightmare broken to no end POS of a game...

 

Poor optimisation is the reason i don't even play that game anymore...you don't spend 1500$+ on a gaming machine with a high refresh 1440p Gsync monitor to play broken games at 40FPS...fuck that!

 

(there goes my review of ARMA 3 in it's current state...sry about the rant)

 

That game is bound by single-threaded CPU performance REALLY HARD...my advise for best performance: get the fastest CPU available in terms of it's single-threaded performance (currently i7-6700K) overclock that to the sky and pair it with the fastest system memory you can find...and then regret you've spent all that money for a 3 FPS boost...)
