Hello,

after reading some reviews and comparing the prices, I saw myself leaning towards steel series rival 100 for like 45CAD. But I wanted the community's opinion on this as well,  so please feel free to suggest any better mouse/mice in the price range. Oh and i mostly play BF4 and Overwatch.  Oh and im coming from a RAT 7 which has pretty comfy design.

Cheers

I think the Corsair Sabre RGB looks pretty cool. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/KQ648d/corsair-mouse-ch9303011na

Although I'd personally choose the Torq x3 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/vVcMnQ/evga-mouse-902x21032kr

So those gaming mice are superior to steel series? Oh and I dont real care about RGB stuff that mind, they're just a gimmick to me.

Honestly I look at peripherals as very much a preference thing. And RGB can be turned off so if it doesn't increase price it's a non-issue. But there is no "best company for build quality", every company will have better and worse products.

Actually what you can do to give yourself an idea is to visit a local hardware store and get a feel for the mice there. See which one is comfortable for you.

that actually makes sense, but I was wondering about the sensor stuff as I think these days most of the mice are comfortable assuming that one has a medium sized hands, Which i do.

All I know in the matter of sensors is, the one on the EVGA TorQ X5 is great (the same as the tek syndicate mouse) and the one on the Torq x3 isn't as good. Don't know much more lol

I'd get it.

The only reason I personally don't own one is because they don't make a goddamned left-handed version.

Sorry, I get emotional about that. That's the one thing that makes me mad about tech. Everything else is eh, but the Tek Syndicate mouse not having a left-handed version. Ugh.

the Rival 100 is my mouse of choice (i play bf4), due to its perfect shape and smaller size, but a thing to note is that i play at a high CPI, 1750 on the rival 100 and I don't 'stress' or put the sensor through its paces if you get what I mean.

all sensors when moved fast enough will malfunction, how fast? depends on the mouse.

the sensor in the rival 100 is in the low end when it comes to optical.

I would highly HIGHLY suggest the Mionix Castor! Its often on Massdrop for a discounted price at around $50. I love this mouse, I've gone through several of the most popular mice from logitech, razor, corsair, etc and none compare to how great the castor just feels in my hand. I have a smaller hand and it fits me perfectly so I think if you had larger hands it may be too small for a full palm style grip, but for small-medium hands its a great fit. I love the light soft rubberized coating and fit and feel of the ergonomical right handed shape. Not to mention it has an awesome PWM 3310 Optical Sensor and RGB lighting that can be programmed through Mionix's software to match any peripheral setup. Be sure to check it out!

Thats actually a good suggestion, but here are a few problems 1) i have to wait for the drop as it seems that the drop isnt going on as of now  2)I have to wait for the drop to reach a certain threshold for a discounted price 3) when converted to CAD + taxes and stuff it goes way beyond my budget. So at the end, I decided to go with the tek syndicate mouse which appears to have the same sensor as the castor.
