the CPU only has 16 PCI-e lanes so both the cards would run at PCI-e 8x mode, but this doesn't matter as the additional speed wont affect performance.

I just wanna run ultra settings 4k. So it's good I'm guessing?

Depending on the game the i5 might struggle on cpu intensive games...

The higher the resolution, the less cpu u need. Ur i5 will be plenty. Awesomesauce did a video about that, but i cant find it imo.

Go for the Xeon 1231v3 and then run SLI.
