I7 4790 temperature?

So I built a rig and I'm kinda worried my cpu goes to 34-38 degrees on idle and not sure if that's ok when doing the cinebench test till the end it was at 58 degrees in using a h60

That's pretty cool for a CPU, you can start to worry if it ever hits 90 C

The thing it's that it slowly goes up when I stress test it it went to 66 and it continued growing should I let it go for a while to see how much will it increase?

This is pretty normal considering that the 4790 is some what hotter then the 4770k

So long as it is bellow 75-80 you have nothing to worry about. 90*C is when you have to find a solution fast and 100*C is Thermal Shutdown

A friend of mine is running one with a 212 evo and it reaches 70-80C while gaming on a moderately hot summer day (25C ambient) so there is nothing to worry about. And I should even worry if the temps where 80C for u even that would not be damaging

You overclocking the thing? I get 4.5GHz at 25C idle on a 212 evo and maybe mid to high 70's on full load. Seeing posts about the 4790k and it's different temps as a first time custom build owner with the cpu I'm freaked out that mine haven't been idling at those temps on a simple aftermarket heatsink.

Stay cool K-bro!

It may be hotter when going core by core probably in the 30s

Even so that is really low you sure that the montoring software is displaying the right figure. Anyway lets not get to far of topic
