Yes, I am very old school and would enjoy an optical drive:) This build is for school, work, and 2k gaming. I was thinking of getting a 1070(then maybe another one down the road) or two 480s based off the what I have seen on the internet lately. What do y’all think? Everyone has been telling me to wait for the next gen GPUs, is that wait almost over? Or should I see what a rx490 could be all about?

Refinement is beautiful.

Well if you are playing games that support crossfire then I would go for the two 480's as its cheaper and can deliver more performance in some situations. However if you want more reliability and compatibility with games I would pick the 1070 as some games may not support crossfire and might instead use just one 480. So I would do a bit of research of what games will support crossfire and how good the crossfire will run with the game. If it was me I would wait for new gpu's to come out as we haven't heard much and there could be some really cool cards coming out soon :o

Like if you liked it. Share it if you thought it was great. Leave a reply if you emotions are a bit more complicated   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Excellent point. As of today I only play starcraft 2, and a couple of RC simulators. Not sure who they favor
