Computer Suddenly Restarted

I was playing League of Legends, and the computer suddenly restarted. This has happened before. My temperatures seem to be alright, within safety area.

Did you check the system logs? Did you get any errors when it rebooted (before or after)? Did you hear/see/smell anything when it rebooted? Any details you can provide might help us help you.

Most likely a software issue or auto updates restart.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

check event viewer > system and look for the last log before the computer rebooted

Nothing in event log. No sound was made by the computer, nothing smelled weird. The computer suddenly blacked out then after a while, bios screen appeared. No fans turned off.

Tell us the model of the PSU. It might be shutting itself off because of over temperature protection if it's not rated for full temperature.

I'm going to safely say, your PSU isn't the issue :) That's a good quality one. In that case the next place I'd go is motherboard short circuit protection so that'll mean testing with a single ram stick, once for each slot. Also keep digging on the windows log since that one only refers to an update that was interrupted because of the hard restart.

maybe your power settings are set too low?

 

and what PS do you have. you listed 500 up top and then you said the box has 650 written on it. what does the lable on the PS say?
