Hi guys! I did my first custom build about 6 months ago, and spent god knows how much time researching the CPU, motherboard, graphics card, etc, but kinda neglected the case (I figured anything would work as long as it was ATX and had enough room for my graphics card). I ended up choosing the Cooler Master N400 since it was a decent price, but didn't find out until I ordered it that it didn't have cable management. Putting it together was a real pain, and while it does work, there's a huge bundle of cables taking up a lot of room in the case, which would make adding a second graphics card impossible. I'm thinking of gutting it and transferring everything to a new case, but the choices are overwhelming. Here are the requirements I'm looking for:

  • ATX form factor
  • Room for a 240 mm water cooler
  • 267 mm minimum video card length
  • Decent cable management
  • Removable hard drive cages for easy assembly

Aesthetics such as colour or a side panel window aren't a major concern for me. What do you recommend?

My setup:

Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor

Asus X99-A/USB 3.1 ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard

Cooler Master Nepton 240M 76.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory

2x Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Western Digital BLACK SERIES 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

Cooler Master N400 ATX Mid Tower Case

Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter

Two of them are.
the s340 is NZXT
the deep silence is Nanoxia.
There also some corsair cases like the 200r but i dont know enough to recommend em.
Also, these are all decently priced cases. It cant compare to something like the Phantex Evolv ATX or Define R5

  • 4 weeks later...

I noticed some cases have a solid front panel covering the fans. Would this restrict airflow?
