Mionix Sargas Broken?

So no it's not my touchpad or anything it's just the pad you place your mouse on and move it around.

 

My glides are quite worn now but it's still works fine on the desk, however when placed on the mouse pad I can drag it to the side of the pad all the way and it won't even travel half the distance of the whole screen.

Increasing the dpi is obviously not a solution, the mouse just doesn't track the movement properly at all.

 

I've never heard of a mousepad not working before but well it happened 

 

Only thing I can think of is something somehow happened to the laser or the mousepad coating (lel)
