Memory issue

So i have a 2 terabyte hard drive and only 235gb of it is on local disk C, The issue is i ran out of space on local disk c and no matter what i delete i keep using up the space somehow what i want to know is how do i increase the space of the hard drive for local disk C. 

 

Besides the fact that i'm running out of space it keeps filling up the hard drive even tho i am not downloading anything.

No but i was thinking of trying CCleaner when i get home i'm at school atm

Try downloading Treesize to see a break down of where the data is on your disk, scans very quickly. Once you know where the majority of the data is you might be able to sort the issue out yourself or we can help more from there.

Could you provide some more information like the brand and the model of the drive, screenshots of your File Explorer (the way the drive looks there with all the partitions) and a screenshot of your Disk Management?

 

Also I would suggest checking your drive for levels of fragmentation and running Disk Cleanup from the Options menu and see how much storage space would that save you. If you don't know where to find these options - feel free to ask.

 

Do you have any applications that may be creating temporary or preview files? What are you using your system for? Have you modified the settings of the Page File or the HiberFil?
