Hey guys,

A few weeks ago I realized my computer was running slow. My gameplay was suffering and was having lag spikes typically of insufficient RAM. Applications were also extremely slow and painful to launch. I ignored it until now and decided to look into the problem. I go to task manager and find that my 16gbs of ram is 98% full, and is staying that way. I took a look at the processes and nothing is using over 100mbs. Whatever is using all of my RAM is undetected by taskmanager. Next thing I thought was malware/virus. Ive half ruled that out though because I use bitdefender, which is supposed to be a premium ant-virus/malware application. That being said it could be bitdefender itself with its autopilot and scans. I am truly at a loss. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks!

I have many leather-bound books.

Holy crap housecall looks shady as fuck. I've never heard anything great about bit defender.

But I'll go with my staple of Norton Internet Security as my recommendation any day as a replacement.

Go into your list of Programs and Applications and sort it by date installed
go down the list and see if theres something you dont recognize
google that software name , if its shady, then delete it

also install CCleaner
and use that to clean your drive and OS

see if that helps
